Description

The tour begins at Manchester Cathedral’s front entrance, where your guide Andy, identifiable by his green hoodie, will meet you. From there, you’ll visit some of Manchester’s most historic pubs, such as the Old Wellington, Sinclair’s Oyster Bar, Sam’s Chophouse, Mr. Thomas Chophouse, Old Nag’s Head, The Briton’s Protection, Peveril of the Peak, and the Little Ireland area.

At each stop, Andy shares stories connecting Manchester’s music, football, suffragette movement, Peterloo massacre, and evolving skyline, highlighting how pubs reflect the city’s history and social changes.

This tour also explores the challenges faced by Manchester’s communities, providing insight into homelessness and the social impact of pubs, while supporting guides who have experienced homelessness themselves.

The tour concludes outside The Salisbury pub, located near Oxford Street Station, making it convenient to continue exploring Manchester independently.
