Description
Once the most powerful woman in France, Marie Antoinette now stands alone. After a failed escape from Paris with her husband, King Louis XVI, she has been captured and brought back to face trial. To many, she is the symbol of everything wrong with the monarchy: Excess, indifference, and tyranny. But is that the truth, or a story shaped by anger and desperation?
With the king already condemned, she must now defend herself before a nation in revolt. Was she a conspirator in treason or merely caught in the downfall of a crumbling regime?
